Lakeisha, is an actor, writer and artist who’s performed in many theatres, platforms and locations UK-wide.
As a BRIT School Alumni, her work as a performer has shaped her drive to find the most unique ways to illuminate complex stories.
Her first short play for young audiences 'Praying to Be'
"an original, startling, darkly comic and thought- provoking look at the way the judicial process and society deals with young offenders as seen through the lives of a group of interlinked teenagers",
"all in all a remarkable piece", was commended for Trinity's International Playwriting Award.
Lakeisha treasures working immersively with different communities through heritage work and storytelling - believing in the power of theatrical frameworks such as devising and play - to be unifying tools, that allow for an earnest sense of agency.
